Nava R. Silton, Ph.D. is a full Psychology Professor at Marymount Manhattan College and is the Director of Neurodiverse Learning at Manhattan Day School. She has published ten edited textbooks and over three dozen peer-reviewed journal articles, encyclopedia entries and chapters. Silton worked at Nickelodeon, Sesame Workshop and MediaKidz and consults as a Developmental Psychologist for children’s media networks (including Disney, Apple, Netflix, 9Story Media, etc.). She also created two award-winning comic book series, The Realabilities Series, and an award-nominated off-Broadway Musical, Addy & Uno (which ran for over 18 months on 42nd street and played in over 75 schools). She is now developing her Children’s TV shows with the Jim Henson Company, LeVar Burton Entertainment and Two Shakes Entertainment.

She created five games via Dr. Nava Games that teach about relationships (Bashert), kindness/SEL (One of A Kind), creativity (Unbox Your Creativity), grit (GritLock) and executive functioning (Executive Station), respectively.  Additionally, she has a Parenting and Child Development Podcast entitled: 
A Cup of Java with Dr. Nava. Silton also penned four full screenplays and was named one of the top 50 screenwriters on the ISA Fellowship Slate. Silton has seven children, three boys and four girls.
